Under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations, all commercial buildings with air conditioning systems rated above 12kW must have a TM44 inspection carried out by a qualified energy assessor at least every five years. What a TM44 Inspection Covers
Our qualified assessors inspect the full air conditioning installation — including indoor and outdoor units, controls, pipework, refrigerant condition, maintenance records and system documentation. We assess the system against current efficiency benchmarks and identify any remedial actions or improvement opportunities, producing a fully compliant TM44 report on completion.
Legal Compliance
TM44 inspections are a legal requirement under the Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012. Failure to have a valid inspection report in place can result in penalty notices from local authorities. Our reports are lodged on the national register and provide the documentation required to demonstrate compliance.
